What is Indigenous Peoples' Day?

Indigenous Peoples' Day is about honoring the Indigenous American people and celebrating their history and culture.

How can we celebrate?

The Smithsonian Magazine offers five ideas for celebrating Indigenous Peoples' Day:

1. Take time to acknowledge the lands you are on.

2. Take time to walk the lands you are on.

3. Read books from indigenous authors and celebrate the rich culture of indigenous people.

4. Check out the the Preston Singletary: Raven and the Box of Daylight exhibit at the National Museum of the American Indian in D.C. or check out the Raven and the Box of Daylight Podcast.
